The Top 10 Funniest Subtitle Fails of All Time

As hilarious as movies can be, sometimes it's the subtitles that really steal the show. From mistranslations to simple typos, the wrong subtitle at the wrong time can lead to some seriously side-splitting moments. Today, we're counting down the top 10 funniest subtitle fails of all time. Get ready for some serious laughs!

1. "I Can't Stop Feeling My Legs" - The Dark Knight Rises

When Bane is beating the snot out of Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, he delivers the classic line, "I won't kill you. I want you to feel the pain." However, in one particular international version, the subtitle reads, "I won't kill you. I want you to feel the pleasure." While this is certainly a spicy little twist on the original line, we're pretty sure it's not what Christopher Nolan had in mind.

2. "Yes, I've Got Great Knockers, Thank you" - RED

In this action comedy, Mary-Louise Parker's character Sarah is trying to look confident while being held at gunpoint. In the original English dialogue, she assures the gunman that she can handle a weapon because she has experience with rifles. However, the Spanish subtitle accidentally translates it to "Yes, I've got great knockers, thank you." While we don't doubt that Mary-Louise Parker has great knockers, we're pretty sure that's not what her character was trying to say.

3. "I Have A Huge Erection!" - Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

In the infamous "You-Know-Who" scene in The Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore tries to calm Harry down by telling him to stand up and face Voldemort. Unfortunately, in one Indonesian subtitle, the translator misunderstood the word "erection" for "keberanian," which means courage. So instead of saying, "I have a lot of courage," Dumbledore proudly exclaims, "I have a huge erection!"

4. "I'm Sorry, I Just Had To Scratch Myself" - The Expendables 2

In this action-packed flick, Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and one of his team members are discussing the importance of always being ready for a fight. When the team member says, "I always drive," the Portuguese subtitle mistakenly translates it to "I always masturbate." Stallone's hilarious response, "I'm sorry, I just had to scratch myself," is just icing on the cake.

5. "I'm The Tin Man, Baby!" - Spider-Man: Homecoming

When Peter Parker first gets his new Spider-Man suit in Homecoming, he's curious about all the different gadgets and features. He asks Karen (the suit's AI), "Can you summon an army of spiders?" Her response in the original English dialogue is, "No, we don't really talk about that anymore." But in one Scandinavian subtitle, Karen's response is, "No, I'm the Tin Man, baby!" Talk about a weird crossover.

6. "I Broke Your Grandmother's Vagina!" - The Hangover Part II

In this raunchy comedy, the guys are trying to track down Teddy, who they lost during their wild night in Bangkok. When they finally find him, Teddy is missing a finger. In the original English dialogue, Stu (Ed Helms) exclaims, "Oh my God, I cut off his finger." But in one Thai subtitle, Stu says, "I broke your grandmother's vagina!" We're not sure which is worse – losing a finger or breaking someone's grandmother's vagina.

7. "I Crap Bigger Than You!" - The Italian Job

In this heist movie, Charlie (Mark Wahlberg) and Lyle (Seth Green) are arguing about who's going to drive the getaway car. When Charlie says, "I drive," Lyle responds in the original English dialogue with, "You don't drive. You don't even have a driver's license." But in one Czech subtitle, Lyle's response is, "You don't drive. I crap bigger than you!" We're not sure what that means, but it's definitely funny.

8. "I'm Gonna Suck Her Eyes" - The Hunger Games

When Katniss is trying to impress the Gamemakers in The Hunger Games, she volunteers to shoot an apple out of a roasted pig's mouth. In the original English dialogue, she says, "I'm gonna shoot an arrow into his throat." But in one Chinese subtitle, her line becomes, "I'm gonna suck her eyes." Well, that's certainly one way to impress people.

9. "I Want To F*** Your Brains Out" - Iron Man

In one of the most awkward scenes in Iron Man, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) flirts with reporter Christine Everhart (Leslie Bibb) in a hotel room. He asks her if she wants him to take her to bed. Her response in the original English dialogue is, "I want to interview you." But in one Spanish subtitle, her line becomes, "I want to f*** your brains out." We can't help but imagine how uncomfortable that must have been for the translator.

10. "Do You Have A Vasectomy?" - The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

In one of the most iconic scenes in The Return of the King, Gandalf and Pippin discuss the unknown fate of Frodo and Sam. Gandalf tells Pippin that they'll see the two hobbits again, but that they may not recognize them. In the original English dialogue, Gandalf says, "Even the smallest person can change the course of history." But in one Chinese subtitle, his line becomes, "Do you have a vasectomy?" We're not sure where that came from, but it definitely gave us a good laugh.
